- Pro tip: ditch the rice and just put pens in a cup. Makes a great side dish.monospaced

- The problem is my pens are often borrowed and people do not replace the caps when putting them back. Lining pen marks and ink blotches across the bottom.omg
- and none of my pencils have caps.omg

- the rice would dry out a pen faster than no rice, no?monospaced
- point up pencils would make for a dangerous pin cushion. sometimes pencils labeled 9B-H need to be seen from a top.omg
- If the pen were left open, I suppose it could impact the ink on a long term basis. otherwise an tight sealed enclosed pen or marker should be safe.omg
