    New to here...

Just share my kit, which is all free plugins + a mini akai controller. I like to keep my setup cheap, simple, and all in one machine:

    Only synth I use:

Amazing quality eq / compressor / and 'proximity':

Proximity is magic, I use it on everything.

And this gives a wonderful light overdrive:

And all the included apple AU plugins that you get in your mac, are excellent too. AUMatrixReverb is perfect.

You can create all manor of synth sounds with that setup. Just automate/lfo etc everything in those plugins from your DAW.

DAW of choice is Renoise version 2.8. I dislike the tracker aspect of it, and would love a piano roll and timeline, but having looked at ableton/logic/bitwig I can't find a more flexible and quick routing matrix to as what you find in Renoise. Shame they went too geeky with V3.

    • i use tokyo labs slick eq and nova quite a bit, will check out proximity.kingsteven
    • Drop the $30 on the SDDR from Klanghelm. The extra modes and controls are beyond worth it.section_014
