Can anyone suggest any good books, biographies or articles about the history of techno and/or house music? I'm trying to do some research here but it's hard as fuck to learn ANYTHING about these enigmatic, reclusive producers who seem to only appear at random underground clubs for 4 hour sets then disappear into the night.

I'm looking for stuff about people in Detroit and Chicago in the 90s I think, and later in Berlin?? That's literally all I know at this point. I want to learn more about Robert Hood, Underground Resistance, Jeff Mills...and german stuff like Basic Channel and Warp Records and anything else that is even vaguely related to those artists or the genres and scenes they're a part of...there are so many house and techno labels that I like from the past decade that cite those examples as direct influences and I want to know more about the connection between techno in the 90s and the stuff happening now. Sometimes you can get lucky and get a short bio on residentadvisor.net but for the most part these fellas seem perfectly fine with having no one know anything about them beyond the extensive amount of music they've produced for 20+ years.

Any help I can get is appreciated!!! (Ukit I'm looking in your direction >.>)
