Has anyone else been following the Brexit announcement?

Can help but think that the Tories have painted themselves into a bit of a corner.

    Possible outcomes...

We end up staying in the EU via another mechanism to ensure access to the single market with some free movement. Leavers go ape. It all kicks off again, resignations and another referendum. Everyone laughs at us.

They punt a full Brexit, the city shits itself and tells them no way, they then have to back track and it all kicks off again, resignations and another referendum. Everyone laughs at us.

I just can't see a government in the pocket of big finance risking London's world financial capital status on a full article 50 brexit.

Plenty of big names hinting at abandoning the UK. We have no real manufacturing base. We're a service economy.

    Everyone follows the money.

Either way, the UKs reputation is mince.

    • Also, any kind of brexit won't get past the Lords or even the house. We could see our 'unelected bureaucrats' veto it. Which would be a glorious irony.monoboy
