    How do you know it's a 9 month build? The developer should be the one quoting time. Even then, it's a rough, rough estimate.

    I'm sure this isn't being done on purpose, but it's a massive pet peeve for almost every developer when a client tells them the timeline. Especially, when it seems to be a ground up application. "Oh, this should only take you X amount of hours?". Really? How are you arriving at that figure?

    Adding a small feature, or small fix is one thing. A "9 month build" is another. Rule of thumb is usually time estimate x 3.
