    • If you can't manage it get an IT dude to do it and it might cost you $30-50. Well worth it if you can't afford to lose whats on the drivesausages
    • stupid question first...
Have you tried clicking the mount button in disk utility?
      pango
    • I tried booting it up using just the drive and nothing. Also clicked in mount and nothingHijoDMaite
    • did you run disk utility and did it 'verify' the drive?Gnash
    • Finder prefs and sidebar worked.HijoDMaite
    • if it didn't find any problems to fix, run 'repair disk permissions'

have you tried a different cable?
      Gnash
    • Clicking repair disk can damage it no?HijoDMaite
    • There are no errors according to itHijoDMaite
    • It won't damage the disk.pango
    • Maybe it needs formatting... unless you've done that. If you've dropped the HDD and it's not showing, you may have destroyed the bootsector with a scratch.robthelad
    • still not mounting? try creating a DMG copy onto your computer -- through Disk UtilityGnash
