- last option is photorec. i think its mac too and can work on drives. saved me about 2k photos on corrupt SDsdeathboy
- I had a toshiba USB drive do the same thing. Tried a new USB3 cord. Nope. Then I replaced the little USB pin on the drive. $15 and works like new again.sausages
- If you can't manage it get an IT dude to do it and it might cost you $30-50. Well worth it if you can't afford to lose whats on the drivesausages

Have you tried clicking the mount button in disk utility?pango - I tried booting it up using just the drive and nothing. Also clicked in mount and nothingHijoDMaite

- Maybe it needs formatting... unless you've done that. If you've dropped the HDD and it's not showing, you may have destroyed the bootsector with a scratch.robthelad
