Had a horrifying dream earlier this morning while dozing off and on around 6am.
In the dream, i was standing in a front yard with someone, and over the tops of a tree saw what looked like a dark cloud. Walked around the tree for a better view, and it was this huge cylindrical column of boiling black smoke, far off in the distance but probably half a mile wide. It was growing downward; I remember immediately feeling fear unlike ever before.
As it grew downward, a black object with the dimensions of an Apollo capsule descended from the bottom of it at a fast pace. I don't remember even being able to decipher whether it was a plane, spacecraft, bomb, or what it was. There were other homes and trees in the way that it went below, before we heard an enormous, deep rumble of an explosion that shook the ground where we were miles away from where it fell. I remember screaming "run!" as loudly as I could, before the instantaneous flash of a nuclear explosion happened. Gigantic, orange and yellow and full of fire. I had just enough time to run around to the front of the house and lay down against the brick wall to shield myself from the blast. Last thing I remember was feeling the air blast past, everything get incredibly hot, and the air be sucked back towards the blast.
Woke up amazed at how vivid that dream was and probably laid there for two hours unable to fall back asleep. If I had illustration skills I could draw this all perfectly.
