dam i had to dust this thread off? anyone doing homebrews or anything practical that you are willing to share?

I am trying to make a small photo booth , I have seen a few variations out of the PI.

I have a PI 3 , it was about $40 with shipping to TEXAS (yes we are big) . Comes with a micro usb ac adapter for power and that is all .

it has 4 usb ports and 1 hdmi , so off the bat i plug into any monitor and use any standard usb key board and mouse

what does it boot? NOTHING , you have to download an OS into a MICRO SD card . Once you pop that sucker into the PI and plug in power it BOOTS UP

    I love this thing
