continuing my throwback ps1 adventure on the ps vita. on to ff8. this game sucks. i loved the final fantasy games growing up.
you get to this game and if you play it the way they intended, its still bad, but somewhat playable i guess. the characters are annoying. tons of flashback shit to other characters that also suck. the junctioning system is incredibly annoying if you play it the way they want you to, drawing 100s of spells from enemies to junction to stats.
but after 5 minutes on good you realize you can break the entire game within 4 or 5 hours of starting it by playing the card game, triple triad, which really is the best part of this game. put a little time into getting rare cards which doesnt take that long, convert them to items and refine them into tons of powerful spells to junction to stats. not even a quarter of the way through disc 1 youve completely broken the game. yay fun

- A normal person would stop playing as soon as it stopped being enjoyable. You on the other hand seem ho do this to yourself quite often. Just stop.monospaced
- Yeah, it's not a good game. 7 was average, mediocre even, but 8 is just a soulless grind. Like another layer of hell.face_melter
