Hey have any of you ever tried to paint or draw your own design on a skateboard? All the tutorials I've found are shitty spray paint methods. I want to take some fine brushes and paint something simple on a blank, or maybe some kind of ink would be better?

We're all artists, right? Why not design our own boards?

Also, where do you get the cheapest (but still good) blanks in NYC?

    • 2 yrs ago my boy was 7, i took a spare deck, sanded primed painted white, him and i spent an aftrnoon sharpie'ing and paintingprophetone
    • a giant finn and jake with ice king and beemo, painted colors, clear coated, so he could have the coolest board on blockprophetone
    • Hmmm sharpie could work.nb
    • if you want to last i guess permanent krink or montana markers, enamel paints etc.prophetone

    • Cool, yeah I'd like to use paint+brush, I think. Ability to slide the board is less of a priority.nb
