Unfortunately the 911 Porsche scene is terribly played out right now. Every hipster and tasteless dude wants one.

Prices for these are just ridiculous. Magnus and outlets like Petrolicous made them super mainstream at the moment.

You snag a 1989 3.2 911 fairly cheap a couple years back, now they're in the $25-35k range.

Car prices are out of control in general. Bubble needs to burst and we need to save our pennies for when it does!

    • 911s are for people that really don't know what they're doing.Muncher
    • They're nice and all, but a bit of a default classic.Muncher
    • Huh? You do realize they've been around for over 50 years, right? Maybe you just found them. The exotic car bubble was 89-2000-ish. It burst long ago.formed
    • yeah, i've seen prices go up for even junky classic cars. hipsters are driving prices up for vintage stuffs all over.yurimon
    • Im gonna slightly disagree with you. Prices when up for certain classics a while a go, like they do in most markets and dropped...sofakingback
    • Currently and for the past couple of years the prices when through the roof. Try to get your hands on a Alfa GTV 2000, a BMW 2002, Porsche 911, etc. Prices aresofakingback
    • Insanely high. Even for full resto shells. Now you said exotics, maybe you know a higher end market than I do, I don't know much about cars over $100k...sofakingback
    • But the guys that I know, that sell, buy, and restore classic cars are all saying the same thing. They are starting to have trouble unloading some of the stock.sofakingback
    • Prices went too high. So here in Cali / San Diego theres a huge market for classic euros. Not bought by americas, but by germans and other EU buyers...sofakingback
    • Everything they can get their hands on. They fly out for a month and travel Socal buying all the euro gray market or decent US cars they can find.sofakingback
    • My buddy sells, 5-7 Mercedes at a time. Now, its dead. they're cooling on it. Then theres US buyers, but most those guys are just getting phased out...sofakingback
    • So anyway, prices hit peak right now. Its gonna hit the fan. Prices will drop. its fine. Classic Porsche's are in the same boat...sofakingback
    • But like Muncher said, theres a ton of dip-shit who have zero clue what a porsche is and they're trying to buy anything. Then they fix it up to look like MW.sofakingback
    • I love the Porsche and want a 911t someday, but right now is the worst time EVER to consider that car. its the fixie of the car world right now.sofakingback
    • I love Porsche tho, one of the, if not the best car of all time. Im lucky to own a GTV 2000, got it at a decent price and the prices now are pretty out there.sofakingback
    • Note: Im talking Euro Cars. Get ready for US muscle car mania in a couple years. Those are gonna be HAWT once those older folks pass. And they go on the marketsofakingback
    • Yeah, we are talking different markets, different times, I am thinking of days when they madeformed
    • one off Cobras that cost well over a million, just because they could sell themformed
