Moderator - much as I appreciate your frustration over the general decline of this website. I do also feel this bizarre show of power almost sounds like the rant of one of the perpetrators of said decline. I think back room moderation is more appropriate here as it has always been.
Just delete threads / members / comments that add to the general negativity / banality / trollality (is that a word? Nope but who cares). Hope you get my point?
The issue is people (old members) are now dealing with an onslaught of bullshit, often political, occasionally racist etc. Wherease before and not even in the too distant past arguments were about films (read SW etc.) or a new identity, or some ridiculous meltdown which was actually v.funny and part of the community. Now there are a few characters who spend their days purposely inciting problems.
Even Mono (yes him who I have argued with many times in a fashion more fitting with QBN) is getting dragged into the bullshit, you can say a lot about Mono but this place would be worse off without him.
So please - deal with this in the right fashion. Remove the dicks, close new membership for a while again and let's get it back to how it was because quite frankly it's getting a little depressing round here.
