This is nice, but they're going to cost way more than $30K.
And quite frankly, $30K is too rich for my blood for a car.
- It starts at $35K and is loaded at that price. Plus there's a tax break. Also, $30K is the price of a nice Honda Accord. Not really that expensive.monospaced
- most people pickup used hondas for like 8k. Much greener.deathboy
- Those cars are fast. And fun. But I find them not practical at all. Just wait for the door handle motor to fail. Consumer reports mentioned it.deathboy
- Accords start at $23K, so that's not really possible. Also, they aren't electric, so not really a competition on "greener" either.monospaced
- greener in that no need to manufacturer a new vehicle. and electricity isn't green when u get it from coal. + that 7500 tax break is stupid cronyismdeathboy
- The 'good' thing about parts failures on Teslas is that they treat your car like software, so quite happily take them back to fix and upgrade themdetritus
- that tax break still bugs me. Its the cost of a new used car for a middle class person. where the liberals getting pissed off at that.deathboy
- tax break is an energy one, based on climate change, which conservatives deny is happening... basically, liberals are buying Teslasmonospaced
- no rich people buying teslas. and climate has and will always change. regardless if u buy a electric car powered by dirty electric or clean diesal.deathboy
- but come on mono you have to see the hypocrisy of tax incentives helping the rich u complain aboutdeathboy
- I think the tax break is limited to the first 200,000 customers or something?stoplying
- lol, this isn't a tax incentive for the rich, it's one for people who make efforts to move to alternative energymonospaced
- it's not hypocrisy and if you think $35K is for rich only, you cray craymonospaced
- There are tax incentives for anything green (solar, etc.). Do you not think we should be bettering the environment?formed
- If R's had their way we'd lower gas mileage and drill, drill, drillformed
- R's killed the first electric car for political reasons. There's an entire documentary on it.monospaced
