    I'm 97.8% sure that the agency I occasionally freelance for is going to price themselves out of an upcoming project.

    The twist, I do pretty much all the work for this client and they called me first about the job.

    If the agency price is too high, should I do it myself?
    It'll be a nice job. I wouldn't be violating any contracts, just maybe my conscience.

    • if the agency finds out you underbid them... would they be pissed?PonyBoy

    • Did the company ask you to bid on the project?Hayoth
    • you have to be a bit of a sociopath to be successful. Do you want to be rich or do you want to be virtuous?_niko
    • @PB - they're pretty chilled, but it's a blue chip client.
      @H - I gave them an estimate and they thought it wasn't enough.
      @N - Both!

    • makes you a businessman, not a designer. do it, it's not your fault being the better provider!mekk
    • just dont let the agency to find out, the customer will understanddrgs
    • what ^drg said, try not to let them find out. and don't be surprised if you get no more work from the agency if they do find out.Gnash
    • and that's not to say you're not doing anything 'wrong' or 'sociopathic.' it only that your agency may think you undercut them with some inside knowledge.Gnash
    • (did I use enough negatives?)Gnash
    • if you told them they were pricing themselves too high, then I don't see any ethical problem with underbidding them. might still piss em offsarahfailin
