I'm all for natural methods of bumping the strength of your immune system... homeopathy and supplements have their place and is very effective for minimizing length of cold / flu etc... I can't argue this because I've experienced the difference.

What's driving me nuts is that there is some shit that CANNOT be fixed using the homeo'pathetic' approach. I've been arguing w/my Dad FOR YEARS now that there was no way to fix my heart w/some fucking herbs. I was born w/a defective valve that didn't grow properly at birth, thus the murmur and eventual heart attack / heart disease. The valve needed to be replaced... a few pills and powders will not magically regrow the valve. :/ I recall my Pops (as all parents look to their children at times) coming off like such a dork in front of my Cardiologist... nearly arguing w/the guy on 'natural methods' as if he were a Doctor. Hehe... then he told me— "I don't like the Doctor...he doesn't care to listen."

Anyway... years later and I'm still having this damn argument... ... extra asparagus and a kale slurpee aren't going to regrow your kidney (at least not yet).

    • homeopathy is snake oil, there is no merit to it whatsoever.garbage
    • Science-based medicine is in a big part made of statistical values. it doesn't mean you valve or kidney will fail when predicted, uan
    • good healthy food helps restore your body (we have auto heal on while sleeping),uan
    • homeopathy... :/inteliboy
    • homeopathy should be considered nothing more than a placebo, and priced accordingly (aka, free)monospaced
    • good luck with the heart, sounds like you know how to manage it. but seriously, absolutely nothing can be fixed with homeopathy.Gnash
    • kale, herbs and vitamins etc, are more naturopathy, not homeopathyGnash
    • Homeopathy is complete made up bullshit. There should be a ton of info you can send your dad on this. Kale on the other hand is really good for you.yuekit
    • ^but it won't regrow a kidney! :D It'll def. help kick-up your immune system though. I get my Dad's point of preventative living— it's just some things can't...PonyBoy
    • ... be fixed by changing your diet.PonyBoy
    • There's a difference between eating healthily and buying into absolute bullshit. "Dilution creates potency" is downright cancerous thought.garbage
    • If Homeopathy is based upon 0.0001% of the ailment in the water, what about the other 0.0001%'s of washing liquids, sulphur, magnesium, flourideIanbolton
    • Do they all have the same effect? Therefore is water just general good for us? MIND BLOWN!!Ianbolton
    • I think it's not the water in the homeophathy meds that work, but the alcohol. they need that to dissolve the componentsuan
