    Download a font editor like BirdFont and remove them, then re-save as a different font.

    If you're just removing a couple of tittles, you're probably not straying far enough to get away with copyright issues, so I'd balance whether the end result is publicly hosted, and to what scale and visibility. If you significantly amend the font 'it becomes your font, so copyright issues become moot. Doesn't sound like the case here though.

    if it's a big site, I'd ensure I had a license for the source font - if it's just a wee site, I'd just ensure that the exported version you make doesn't share any searchable names as the original.

    • thanks - just tried birdfont free - wont let me export as the font isn't under an SIL license. will have to buy an upgrade maybeindian_pole
