For $40 I bought a pair of noise canceling Sonys at Radio Shack. I've had them for 3 years now and they're surprisingly good. I fly alot and can throw them in my backpack, no case, and they're comfortable enough to wear for long periods. Plus I'm cheap, so $40 is on point.

- I've noticed you always get better sound quality from JVC rather than Sony, when you compare two models that are the same price, among the lowest price range.nb
