I use a big hammer-key digital piano as my MIDI controller. But, I also like scoring stuff by hand, as I know written music theory well.

Currently just working with the synth sounds in Logic, while I decide on an actual synth to buy. I want to write some stuff, start producing things and get a workflow going.

QUESTINE: Anyone using a Pen+Touch Wacom? I'm thinking of buying a new little one, one of the "Photo" ones and having it sit on my piano workstation. I've never cared about the Touch feature until now, but it seems to make more sense for music over photography.

I guess my question is, does the "Touch" feature work well, or, when I use the pen is my hand touching the tablet going to occasionally trigger the tablet and screw up my workflow?

    • Or, should I just buy an iPad?nb
    • Note: I can't use the Touch Pad on my MBP while music is running, because it causes clicks and pops in the audio.nb
    • ipad.. for any number of reasons.. but the music apps alone are worth itautoflavour
    • Tried the Wacom, it sucks for controlling knobs. Going to buy myself something with control knobs.nb
