    These are just showcase items, kinda like the Nexus line. Not meant to bring tons of money, but meant to show off possibilities (and encourage PC makers to build something better, just like Google's intent). I think in that regards it is already a super success. People are talking, new products are coming out that are much better.

    All that means Windows will continue to dominate. Office already dominates and if you combine taht with W10, you can really start taking momentum away from Apple.

    The wild card, imho, is the phone. If that continuum thing (and cameras) are as good as people are saying, it could be a real game changer. Same files everywhere, even when you don't have your computer with you.

    Apple is trying that, but they are taking a huge gamble that the world will support (and pay) for high end apps. So far they won't and software makers aren't building high end stuff for iOS. The Pro was their huge gamble that would pay off. Personally, I don't think it will, or it will take too long.
