Having read recently that some newspaper websites weigh over 15Mb (!!!), I hope I can have a desktop reader that does this, and cut out all the crap...
- why? who cares.fadein11
- Quite an ignorant comment! All the people on metred connections, mobile, or people who give a shit about efficiency? You might not, but a lot of people do.detritus
- Ah sorry - you mentioned a desktop reader - I've never had metred broadband at home/office... must be an American thing. So not ignorant thanks.fadein11
- "Admits ignorance, claims not ignorant"
An interesting perspective!detritus - WTF is metred broadband? Are you talking about mobile?? If so your desktop reader comment is irrelevant to your point.fadein11
- Metred broadband is what a lot of people who don't have full-pipe broadband have.
ie. fuckloads of old folk who read newspapers. You know, 'real people'?detritus - wow - doesn't exist over here anymore...fadein11
- Oh? Even Sky and BT run metred services in cities. God only knows what people outwith decent broadband have to put up with, but I guess 'fuck them'?detritus
- You seem to be missing the point here, but fundamentally, I'd quite like to browse content without massive excesses of bloat. I know I'm not the only one.detritus
- You're not the only one! #istandwithdetritusnb
