I'll bite as I just drove under 1800 miles this past weekend. (Mom got hitched in northern California!)
I left Phoenix last Thursday afternoon and drove up to Las Vegas to pick up my brother (stayed there for the night... had a peaceful wander on the strip (yep, that is possible!)). Friday we then proceeded up the Extraterrestrial Highway (Nevada), past Area 51, past Mono Lake then further north till we got to Lake Tahoe then rolled west into California to Mom's (Placerville to be exact... where the gold rush officially started—yeehaa!). The wedding was Sunday... we left Monday, making sure to drive straight through Yosemite (popped in and out of the valley to remind ourselves how amazing that place is and then up and over Tioga Pass so we could stop and drool over the idea of a day-hike to the backside of Halfdome from the Olmsted Overlook). We then headed south being sure to stay to the west of Area 51 this time so we could officially say that we've looped the place. Slept Monday night in Vegas and drove home Tuesday Morning. Overall mileage was 1772 miles.

Somewhere in the middle of Nevada, not too far from Mono Lake
Yikes... watch out for these guys in Nevada... free range cattle everywhere... dead all over the highway :(
