so what was I doing wrong?
- No problem. The only thing I did was reset the Viewport Solo settings. Is the file entirely yours or did it come from another version of C4D?face_melter
- nah it's mine, was working on it and I may have either pressed the wrong key combo or someone up there hates me...GeorgesII

- By default there's no shortcut for viewport object solo but it's next to a lot of buttons in the vertical strip of tools/settings on the left.CyBrainX

- Aye, I have found it indispensable when it comes to modelling - allows you to get behind and into parts of the model that are normally visually blocked off.face_melter
