Waiting for a new gig to start in August, so I'm keeping my C4D/Vray skills up - using HDRi better, cleaner UVW Mapping, learning new tricks (soft body dynamics to create scattered debris, splines etc. etc.). Everything in the scene has been built from scratch apart from the scrub. Not 100% happy with the background - I used a slight DoF to knock it back but it wrecks the line where it meets the sky. Something to work on I guess.

    • First one's really good - although your OSB board's a little neat.. I'd expect some of it to be bashed in and chipped around the edges. So jealous!detritus

    • that looks great, man! i wouldn't question it for a secondscarabin
    • Thanks! I didn't want to go all pure Fallout/Mad Max with the filth - like the boards have just been put up/replaced, rather than there for years.face_melter
    • ...this was fun to build/texture so I'll give it a go on the next one - maybe with more structural damage.face_melter
    • Looks good! Pretty realistic.baseline_shift

    • Yeah - that was kinda intentional - always liked his stuff, dude was everywhere.face_melter
    • Awesome stuff, if you add athmospheric scattering and a little more DOF to the mountains the depth will work betterWeyland
    • Aah, yes, atmosphere. The background in the final pic is entirely done in PShop, the render (w/. Frontal Mapping) didn't work. I'll look into it - thanks.face_melter
    • Yeah, if it's just compositing it's way too sharpWeyland
