if you really want to nickel and dime your clients, use harvest.

    • Or you want to run a profitable business. Either/or.ETM
    • right, make less money, round to the nearest quarter hour. let your clients see it took you 13 minutes to make a change so they take advantage of you.doesnotexist
    • Well sure, if you're an idiot and invoice the tracking data verbatim! LOLETM
    • I guess you don't understand you can format and adjust your invoices however you want, you don't need to publish exactly how it's tracked.ETM
    • You saying you don't track yours and employees time on projects?ETM
    • Have budgets and goals?ETM
    • a little harsh, dude. this is a discussion. i work at the cd/consultant level with VERY small teams. i don't track my time, the value isn't based on that alone, doesnotexist
    • but on perceived value and how much a product or brand is worth. goals are strategy related and not analytical immediately.doesnotexist
    • why charge an hour when you can charge a day?doesnotexist
    • if you're going to alter the time you spent on it before your client sees the invoice, why bother using that tracking method?doesnotexist
    • Because you need to track internally. Gauge performance. Find bottlenecks and inefficient workflows or workers.ETM
    • Just to name a couple.ETM
    • Perceived value still must be contrasted against the reality of doing business and all the support mechanisms existing between the revenue and the profit.ETM
