In reference to the previous posts, here's my perspective as i'm a hardcore biker.
The reason people have speakers on their bikes is the same reason people listen to music at the gym. Headphones are illegal, and you can't hear them as well with the noise from outside traffic. I do wear headphones sometimes, but cover just one of my ears.
I'm not sure about the bike locks, but it might be because when you hook it up to a bike without a lock grip, it scratches up the frame.

- I tuck my u-lock between my belt/pants (essentially what the pants do). Unless your lock is larger you don't even notice it.duckseason
- I didn't want to put a lock mount on my frame mainly for aesthetic reasons. I also have a few bikes so it's just easier when swapping between them.duckseason
