i'm a huge US Soccer fan, and have been following the US Women's wonderful road to the World Cup final - it's been awesome!
yesterday watching Laura Bassett's own goal in the last minute of the game literally brought me to tears. it kills me knowing she has to bear that pain and live with that for the rest of her life. bless her heart!
it's just a game but it feels like everything, the whole world on the shoulders of these young women.
it's just heartbreaking no matter what time you are for :`(
