    This work 2012 MBP on Mountain Lion also runs really hot. I find that raising it up a centimeter or so so that the lower rear area is exposed helps a lot. Also check processes like utopian suggests. I found Chrome can even be a resource hog.

    • Good idea. Will buy some laptop legshotroddy
    • there are also laptop stands with fans on them for extra cooling. never used them so I don’t know if they really make a difference or just annoying noisepressplay
