'Munich is nice but less interesting in my opinion (not worth much).'

As a former resident (god, I miss it!), Munich's big draw is the lifestyle. The south of Germany has a much more pronounced joie-de-vivre than the north, or even in the west (like Düsseldorf, where I'm living until the end of month ... ironically to move to Berlin). Munichers will take every available opportunity to leg it for the Englischer Garten to sun bathe, to grill on the Isar (or swim in it, if they're particularly brave) or to hang out at their favourite bar to knock back an Aperol Spritz or two. Munich just generally feels a lot more relaxed and easy-going than in other German cities.

It's also got a tonne more green space.

    • Also, you can't knock a city that's got a strong urban surfing community!Continuity
    • Also, you've got easy access to some gorgeous lakes outside the city, and easy access to skiing and snowboarding in the winter.Continuity
    • agree with all of that. Didn't say Munich isn't nice, just seemed to be less going on than in Hamburg + BerlinFax_Benson
    • This is true. Munich takes the German reputations for orderliness and predictability to a completely different level.Continuity
