ok, here's the finished product,
it's a veilleuse for my son's new room, the knob allow you to turn it on/off or go through the light cycles,
if not touched it will go through the cycle for 3 min than turn off,
lots of room for improvement,but the heir is happy so am I :)

Have you considered a diffusing layer of translucent acrylic? Might be a terrible idea...detritus - Nice post. But at what point does your boy pick this up and bang it around? How fragile is she?stoplying

I forgot to mention that there's an nfc tag in the center so when he want to connect his tablet to the bluetooth speaker he just have to tap itgeorgesIII - and it turns on bluetooth, pair it to the speaker and opens the music app,
