Friend calls me with ER project Saturday. To be done by Thurs, the scope much larger than she said it would be.

Busted my ass getting it out Monday, as the org continued to send me assets during the day, on Tuesday, cutting into personal time and 3am bedtime that I hadn't promised (not anticipating late assets)

Sent them contract to sign last Saturday, and 2 invoices. No response, no signed contract from VP as promised.

Now I am getting emergency calls and emails to do more work on the project.

Ironic, you'd think if I told you the kind of advocacy org they are.

    Never working w/ friends again.

They emailed me yesterday and said they'd send a check out Monday the latest.

    • Your emergency – no contract, no invoice, no contact – trumps theirs. Make sure they know that.i_monk

    • nice mrpt, very true.
      1. i don't understand the other side of it. i don't know why a client wouldn't sign the contract. just leaves such a bad taste for all
