Visit some East Village places that recently opened after the building explosion a couple weeks ago, would be great to contribute to the local economy struggling after an accident. St. Marks and that area is a cool walk around spot and if you walk some blocks west you can check out Washington Square Park.

Jimmy's, along with Burp Castle and Standings, have been dubbed the Brewmuda Triangle "because you can get lost here drinking great beer for hours and days on end." All three are slated to reopen their doors this weekend.

43 East 7th Street between 2nd and 3rd Avenues. Subway to Astor Place (6 train) or 8th Street NYU (R train) or easy 10-minute walk from Union Square.

    • The Burp Castle is cool but they really are a pain in the ass about having to keep it down to a whisper.CyBrainX
