Just back from a break in Cumbria with some digging
between fell climbing with a few unexpected finds.
An early car boot turned up some nice 7"s but it was
the charity shops of Whitehaven & Maryport that came
up with the LP's, including this first one which I had only
heard about but never seen before!
in the same box as the Savile LP was this spoken
word adaptation of the 18th Century erotic novel
'Memoirs of a Woman of Pleasure' read by Mary Harrison
released on Dial in 1964bizarrely priced at 29p I would have left it had I not
turned it over and noticed an unexpected special guestmost of these singles below were from the same stall
for 50p each and I was pissed I missed one box of 60's
EP's some the guy cleaned him out as I was standing there...
early Private Eye single - I have most of the flexis
and LP's but this is the first vinyl PE single I've found
great Cook & Moore 7" in beautiful conditionone of the few EP's I did manage to get my hands on,
original unboxed labelI recognised Jah Wobble from the cover but there is little
other info on the sleeve or label as to who this record is by.
The white label has Dan MacArthur on both sides but the
a-side plays Beat the Drum For Me, the b-side is a faded-out
version of Dan McArthur and has JW being cheeky on the rear.
great Glam rocker demo from 1975
