  The planet will be fine, it's gone through some rather dramatic changes in the past few billion years. We're going to go extinct, and in the grand scheme of things our tenure on earth will have been an anomaly. The timescales are just enormous when talking about climate and geology, we've been around for less than 200,000 years... that will barely show up as a mm thick layer of rock in 10million years.
