As always, it’s not the tool, it’s how you use it... I found that mail, a calendar and pen&paper are sufficient for my task management.

I recently got into a project where they use Trello. Fine. But the lady who is in charge of project management uses it like some kind of magic lamp. She puts up a to-do like: »Brochure« and expects the printed result up her doorstep the next day. Then I have to email her (because a simple phone call is an alien concept to her and she usually doesn’t answer the phone): what’s the content? How many copies? What’s your budget? etc. etc.... Then I do my work, emails back and forth, lots of bitching from her side, and the task is done. But not quite: open Trello and move the task into the »done« category.

If you don’t know shit in general and how to organize your work, no app will save you and it will just be another useless mouth to feed for all poor souls involved.
