canon completely fucked the momentum they had going with video and the 5d. morons.
A few years ago the gears were turning, we were shooting a fair amount of jobs on 5D's... now it's just an Alexa or Red. Haven't seen a dslr on set for ages.
- are they aiming to split the market so they sell more gear?Amicus
- i wish i could afford to shoot with RED or Alexa..autoflavour
- it still is a good sensor and a nice camera to own, just a mess to manipulate but affordable compared to alexa or red.uan
- Yeah, Canon also sells C300, etc, so they probably don't want the 5D to be used for high end production.nb
