Nobody is the same. The effects of a changing culture - 30 second ads, video games, faster production, less flexible learning, etc. - all do something to everyone.
I do think, though, that the population is waaaaay over medicated. Mostly due to laziness and money - dr.'s aim for the easiest/most common "cure", pharma pushes "research" to make billions, people are just generally looking for "easy" solutions to everything.
