listening to a feature about a contemporary norwegian free jazz ensemble. All that high-praised contemporary stuff (music, also fine arts, literature etc.) is just reproducing the same old formulas that have been around for decades with all too predictable results that stick close to the paradigm / genre. nothing »free« to find there...
