    i was thinking about that, HAY, and how implausible his story was and how could anyone in their right mind not see that it was BS.
    And i think that it may be just an illustration of the desperation of the situation. These people are so beaten down and worn out by the constant onslaught of enemies (dead and living) that any glimmer of hope for getting things back to normal is believed, if only for the fact that, otherwise, there is no discernible way out of the situation.
