    Getting toward the middle of a webpage in an article in Vanity Fair or New Yorker, thinking "This is interesting, but I hope it ends soon" only to realise with horror upon reaching the bottom of the page that there's still another 9 full pages to go.

    Fucking hell you Yanks are a wordy lot when it comes to magazines.
