my 6 year old has been great with my ps3 and now ps4 whilst he's been growing up.
he loves minecraft too and plays it constantly on the ps4, and when he goes to bed he can play it on his Vita via the link between the ps4 and the vita, which is amazing.
but realistically its down to what they want. both consoles have exclusives, ps has a stronger lineup for the future, is, as others have stated, the more powerful machine which will make a difference in the long term.
budget is also depending?
wii's are cheaper but dont have minecraft i dont think? i may be wrong.
