The PS4 is a better system than the Xbox One technically, it's a much higher build quality, stronger graphics hardware, Controllers have rechargeable batteries as standard, no stupid power brick hanging off the back.
All comes down to games though, if you're 5 yr old likes Minecraft then keep in mind Minecraft 2 will be an Xbox exclusive (They're betting the whole system on this basically) but that wont be out for at least a year or maybe two seen as Mojang were not developing it yet. Although Minecraft is currently available on both platforms.
Wii is great for kids too if they're into Mario, if they're not then there isn't much else on the system for them.
- Microsoft have more money for dev's and will always end up with more games like last time.sem
- Plus you forgot Halo series, Titanfall , Rise of the Tomb Raider etc over Minecraft.sem
- ps have some really strong exclusives... uncharted series for one is incredible as is the last of us.cruddlebub
