I am an Aussie, I was living in Denver at the time. The night before I had finished work at 11pm and went out and got absolutely smashed.

I woke the next day to my mum coming in the door and yelling the white house has been attacked and the twin towers have fallen, we are under attack.

Being in Denver - near Norad all I could hear was very highly elevated jet fighters screaming above our heads.

My father is an architect and showed me buildings all around the world, without a doubt the ones that left the biggest impression on me were the World Trade Centers. I have stood at the top, I remember being so happy at the fact I was there, I looked at the smallest detail on a piece of concrete maybe 1cm square and mentally photographed is so I would never forget being there.

I will never will forget. RIP to all those beautiful people whose lives were affected or extinguished on that sad day.

    • Aye, but fuck all the ugly ones.detritus
    • I remember standing at the top and looking to the other tower, that's when it hit me, how high i was. those were magnificent.sea_sea
