Even though the thread's a few years old... I feel like I need to poke the elephant in the room in the balls with a big stick: I can NEVER watch college sports for the simple reason of the money spent on this uni and marketing (for all teams considered competitive in the collegiate world) and alllllll the freakin' cash that GOES BACK to Nike and the school....

...BUT NEVER the players. They wear the garb and put on the performance that brings in all the money and fans... ... but get squat in return (and don't try and tell me that a 'free' education is payment enough... not even close to the Millions upon Millions they make their sponsors and School). Pay these kids already.

    • don't understand adult fans of college sports. you're out of college already, get over it.robotron3k
    • and even weirder, adult fans of high school football... men cheering boys. meh...robotron3k
    • This has nothing to do with being a fan. Do you just give away your talent so others can keep the profit from what comes of it?PonyBoy
    • think of the exposure tho!prophetone

    • GO DUCKS!wagshaft
    • so a free education, clothes, meals, all the vagina you want isn't enough for an 17-22 YO? You pretty much get jobs handed to you after you are done with football if you don't go prorodzilla
    • fi you don't go pro....if I have an idea while employed somewhere i don't make any more money if my place of employment does...rodzilla
    • any idea that makes the company more money...rodzilla
    • you basically just said you'd work for free w/the exception of 'neat stuff' and the hope of a good jobPonyBoy
    • ... while someone makes millions off your talentPonyBoy
    • not really - i expect my salary that is agreed upon. in this case - its a free education, which is worth 20K-30Krodzilla
