looks like there are online communities devoted to hacking individuals (preferably celebrities) to obtain nude pictures, collect and share them privately. they share knowledge on how to hack someones account and also on data about the target collected through social networks (hello fb).
what happened recently is that this whole thing went public when someone started posting some of the pictures in public forums offering them for money. what we see seems to only be scratching the surface of what's out there.
