I recommended my employer run Dropbox for Teams for the past few years and I've had a personal account for years as well. The whole reason we stick with it is that it has almost always "just worked" when it comes to syncing across all platforms — the most important bit really. It's got a few quirks but nothing I couldn't solve or handle on my own and as has been mentioned, the versioning is super handy.
On the OS X you can do crazy advanced stuff via symbolic links like syncing your iTunes database, After Effects or C4D plugins or settings across computers as well (note, this can get pretty advanced and is a bit fragile so it's not for just anyone).
It is a good solid product. Here's hoping they keep at it.
