    you just can't win these asymetric conflicts militarily, if you're sensible about collateral damage that is. everytime the US tried, they failed. see vietnam, see afghanistan. same with Israel and gaza.

    beating the iraqi regular army was a piece of cake, but if you remember US completely failed winning the asymetric part of the conflict, loosing thousands in casualties and billions of dollars. giving up eventually.
