I've had this debate a bunch of times, as we all probably have. I don't think $$$ and communication will help much. I'd almost think it would make things worse, as the "barbarians" will leverage both and take advantage of the so many people out there without cause, that feel useless, easy prey.
I used to think education and money (better infrastructure, communication, etc.) would help, but it seems "they" prefer to have billions and live as "barbarians", taking the money and putting it into weapons. This is dangerous and pretty terrifying.

So far, they are succeeding. Everywhere I read, more and more people are calling for Muslims to call out extremists, yet so far there is no visible effort, which leaves everyone lumping all muslims into the same category. This, of course, is part of the goal - us vs. them.

Don't know what the answer is besides more intelligence (and lack of privacy) to stop any Americans or others that could be convinced to do things inside our borders. I agree that more people that have any knowledge need to speak up (which is scary in its own right, but I can't think of a better solution).

Who knows, maybe this is all further propaganda to start another war, or reduce our privacy.
