stayed north of lahaina in napili last year which was doooope. and the best thing we did was drive to honolua bay, you park off the road, walk thru a jungle for 5 mins and then you pop out on a rocky beach where you dive in and snorkel a really tops reef with turtles, fish, sharks, etc... recommended and it's free! which is a point to make b/c we did molokini for hundreds and it wasn't half as fun as this. the best of maui is just pulling the car at any random spot over and grabbing a board or snorkel gear imo. love that place.
