Yeah I don't understand this attitude that guns are the only thing standing between us and tyranny. First of all if you really believe that what are you waiting for, shouldn't you be out on the streets starting a revolution or something. But just hypothetically imagine there was some kind of uprising. If it was a small breakaway militia group, it wouldn't matter how many guns they stockpiled, they would get crushed by the government like a fly. One the other hand, if you had an actual mass movement with majority popular support, you wouldn't even need guns. It would be like in Egypt where millions of people march on the capital and they just give in.

But realistically the country isn't even close to that point. The whole thing is a paranoid fantasy invented by the NRA and similar groups to, guess what, sell more guns. And it works apparently. The flipside of this is that there are already so many guns in this country that gun control would basically be futile, it would be like trying to ban TVs or cellphones. Even if you banned every future gun sale, you would still be left with enough existing guns to fight multiple civil wars and revolutions for the next few centuries.

    • cause you dont understand history. not saying everyone arguing the gun tyranny has a point but yeah!yurimon
