I am a gun owner and would happily hand my gun over if there was a buy back effort (which has successfully worked elsewhere). It will never happen, of course, we'll have a civil war to keep "our" guns first.

"Criminals" generally do not go on killing sprees. Occasionally there will be a gang related innocent killed, maybe a car jacking or robbery gone wrong, but that's it. "Criminals" want something, killing someone makes it harder to "get".

So let's forget about defending ourselves against "criminals", as there statistically nothing we can do by ourselves (more people killed in gun households by accident than any "criminals" killing).

Take that away and what do you have...ah, right, big brother. I don't care how many AR-15's you have, it ain't going to do any good against big brother. If anything, you'll be the first to be taken down.

So where's the logic? It is simply an obsession with perceived "power" and a desire to shoot things. Probably could call it an innate desire given the history here.

My fear is more and more "heros" will carry, thinking there is another massacre waiting to happen every second of the day. Dangerous. Eventually there will be stories of legal gun owners shooting innocent people, thinking they were terrorists.

When that happens, I'll be carrying just to shoot the next idiot that starts shooting at someone else.

Printed guns...wow...how someone could promote this and feel no accountability to what will, inevitably, happen. Better get those X-Ray machines going again real soon.

    • rant over :-)formed
